New K-State commit video: Robert Upshaw

Courtesy of Tom Koppe and our friends at Blackout Sports, here's a chance to take an extended look at Robert Upshaw, who announced his verbal commitment to Frank Martin and Kansas State University earlier on Monday. Listed at 7-0, 275-lbs, dude has obvious size, and it looks as if the four-star, No. 43-overall recruit (Rivals) is the sort of at-the-rim defender that Martin loves to have in the paint at all times.

Provided he makes it on time without complication (and I don't know of any), Martin's tallest pieces to his front court next in 2012 would feature senior Jordan Henriquez (listed at 6-11), sophomore Adrian Diaz (6-10) and Upshaw.

(Oh, and if you recognize a guy about the 4:05 mark, that is indeed one Perry Ellis.)

Bill Snyder watches K-State students after Texas A&M win

After the his team's dramatic, 53-50, four-overtime win over Texas A&M, Kansas State head coach Bill Snyder said his immediate thoughts following the thrilling victory were with the students, the band and then everyone else who supported the team.

I was able to catch on video the moment he described, and because so much darkness covered the college football landscape last week, it felt pretty special being able to watch a legend soak up the young energy and atmosphere as it unfolded in front of me.
