Big 12 Rankings: Beebe free and some 'damned good football'

Well, Dan Beebe, we hardly knew ye.  Actually, that's not right.  That's not right at all. We did know ye, and found out far too long ago you weren't the right fit for what the Big 12, a conference playing some "pretty damned good football" and perhaps is the best in basketball, needed in order to survive. Maybe now, finally, someone with some big, but non-burnt orange, balls can get one of the best conferences in the country back up to speed with the business side of things.

As for that football, where the conference currently holds a collective 23-2 record...

1. Oklahoma - Landry Jones might be the most unassuming records holder ever at OU.  Never really known for his arm, the lanky QB passed Sam Bradford as the Sooners all-time leading passer with his 199-yard effort at Florida State. And, the Sooners look as dominant as ever after beating the then-No. 5 Seminoles by 10 at their place.
