Keep the K blue? Royals just want the green

Hey look, Toby! A foam finger!
Spent the entire weekend at Kansas City's Busch Stadium West...and after watching the Kansas City Royals drop two of three to the St. Louis Cardinals, in front of a very healthy St. Louis home crowd, all I can say is...stop the rivalry talk.

Stop it right now, Royals fans, because if you were out at the K at all during the series (I was there for all three games) you saw your own team doesn't consider it a rivalry, or even an opponent for that matter - and that's the real problem.  Want to get real angry instead of the faux angry that KC fans (of all sorts, not just Royals) have overused as a source of motivation?

All you had to do was look in the gift shop.

We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming

Make no mistake, this is a sports only blog.  But, in light of the tragedies suffered in Reading, Kan., and Joplin, Mo., over the weekend, and now the impending forecast for Tuesday, I'm posting the latest Storm Prediction Center forecast because I know most of my regular audience (and me, too) lives in the areas that could be affected most.

Bottom line - please take care in what could be a very dangerous weather day, and please pass this information on to as many others who need it - along with referring back to it on a regular basis. Info is the only weapon we have against weather, and we know that sometimes even that's not enough.

We'll get back to sports soon enough.
